Day 3: Invercargill to Tuatapere 88k

Morning stats:

Wakeup time: 4:45am

Sleep: 7hrs

RHR:51

Weight: 82.1.  After race: 82.3

Hardest moments in this tour:

Day 1: Pacing Roly up to the front of the bunch after he took a pee, not once but twice during a 80k stage!

Day 2: Trying to bring Jack Bauer back around Gore.

Day 3: trying to hold Hendy’s wheel going up the hill out of Colac BAy!  I dropped it!

The team plan today was to recover in the morning (play the same card as what we did yesterday – sit on the back of the Share the Road team while they controlled the peleton for yellow jersey holder Jeremy Yates.  The morning was easy and what was better was that Share the Road broungt back the break (it had a danger man Clinton Avery in it), right before the end.  We didn’t have to do any work then Hendy won the sprint!

Stats: (yay the Garmin workded – loving it!):

Av speed: 42.2kph

Distance: 87k

Time: 130min

Av heart rate: 138bpm – easy!
